Task Force Status: Licensure legislation (HB 429) introduced in House (03/11), hosted Hill Day, and actively contacted legislators to seek their support. Profession Questionnaire successfully passed out of Legislative Committee on New Licensing Boards. Legislation being reconsidered and has been referred to Committee on Health and Human Services (04/12), but did not move out of committee. Licensure legislation was re-filed in March 2013 (SB 244/HB 292). It was changed to a study bill during committee hearing in June 2013. Awaiting committee appointment to study the issue. Task force organized a Hill Day event in June 2015. The Task Force is currently engaged in educational efforts and awaiting the outcomes of the 2016 election. All NC House and Senate offices are elected every 2 years. We have updated our survey and will be sending it out this fall to obtain updated information about MTs working in NC.
