CBMT offers the 2010 Music Therapy Board Certification Examination

The newly revised CBMT Scope of Practice becomes effective April 1, 2010. It is available at the following link:

When:	Offered by computer daily in AMP Assessment Centers 9:00 a.m. administration and 1:30 p.m. administration
Where:	The music therapy board certification exam is offered in over 150 cities nationwide, and in some locations internationally. Visit AMP Assessment Centers for a complete listing of test centers. Call 1-800 765-2268 for the location nearest you.
Exam application, fees and documentation must be received before scheduling an examination appointment. Upon the receipt of an application and eligibility materials, scheduling information will be sent to you.

Requirements for Admission to the Music Therapy Board Certification Examination
Candidates for Music Therapy Board Certification must have successfully completed the academic and clinical training requirements for music therapy, or their equivalent, as established by the American Music Therapy Association. To be eligible to sit for the music therapy board certification examination, these requirements must be completed by the examination administration date. If the candidate is a current MT-BC taking the music therapy board certification examination to fulfill recertification requirements, the MT-BC must be in the fourth year of his/her recertification cycle and have paid all maintenance fees through the fourth year, including any applicable late fees.
